The Sports Performance Research Center is equipped with cutting-edge experimental systems. The laboratory covers an area of more than 2000 square meters. The sports biomechanics experiment platform is currently awarded as Key Laboratory of the Ministry of education in "sports and fitness technology"; Shanghai Key Laboratory in “Human Sports Performance Development and Assurance" and Key Laboratory of the National Sports Administration in "Sports Cognition evaluation and regulation". The laboratory holds international influence in scientific and technological strength. The first high-speed biplane fluoroscopy system in China was developed in the innovation center of sports, medicine and engineering. It is a key equipment applied in the project of "science and technology boost Winter Olympics". The first in-vivo quantitative knee function analysis system in China was also developed by integrating advanced technology and experience from Harvard and MIT. It is applied in injury detection and prevention in sports medicine. The existing equipment and technology of the research center include: 1) high-speed infrared 3D motion capture system, 2) multi axis force platform, 3) inverse dynamics analysis, 4) finite element analysis, 5) musculoskeletal analysis, 6) biomedical imaging analysis, and etc. The research involves transverse (multi-joint, multi-function) and longitudinal (long-term follow-up of various intervention in training, rehabilitation and support) dimensions in the field of body and joint biomechanics. It is of great significance to promote the research and application in sports, injury and rehabilitation.
